Kaci & Jason.

July 7, 2010

Kaci and Jason reserved their date last year and I hadn’t met them yet so I was really looking forward to their wedding. They were married at the First United Methodist church in Marble Falls and had their reception at the Lakeside Pavilion. It was an absolutely beautiful day. The Original Recipe Band from Austin kept everyone out on the dance floor the entire reception. They were so much fun! Ryan Green Photography was once again a pleasure to work with. Kaci and Jason were radiating happiness and it was such a joy to be around them and get to capture it on film. Best wishes for a long and happy life together!

Leah & Wendel.

June 15, 2010

Leah and Wendel booked me right after the Bridal Extravaganza last June so I have been anticipating their wedding for a long time! They were married at Natures Point on a hot and humid May afternoon in an absolutely beautiful ceremony. Their photographer was Tanya Saenz – it was our first time working together and she was so much fun! Make sure to check out their images on her website. I wish you all the best Leah and Wendel!

Britney & Randy.

June 11, 2010

Britney and Randy were married at the Austin Country Club on May 30th, 2010.  It was my first wedding at ACC and the weather and location were absolutely perfect. The reception was a blast! The Argyles kept everyone out on the dance floor all night. Here is a small preview from their day.

I’m Back!

June 8, 2010

Thanks to my webmaster friend Jonathan, my blog is back in working order after being down for a few weeks! I’ve shot 3 weddings in the last week so I have a lot to get caught up on posting. I just returned from filming a beautiful wedding in the Highlands, North Carolina so check back next week for the preview from that. For now, I have a few of our still video shots from Leah and Wendel’s wedding last week at Nature’s Point just outside of Austin. I should have their preview up later tonight or tomorrow.

Aaron & Melyn.

May 13, 2010

Aaron and Melyn had wonderfully sweet ranch wedding at the beginning of May. Every aspect of their wedding was perfect and planned to the very last detail. Their ceremony was in an absolutely beautiful Catholic Church in Fredricksburg and Melyn’s family owns a ranch just past Kerrville so that is where they had the reception. Friends and family were gathered under a giant tent strung with white lights, drinking out of mason jars and enjoying Salt Lick BBQ. It was great! Instead of traditional wedding cake, they had a Funnel Cake station and cobbler with ice cream. How cute is that? The Paul Eason band from Austin played country music that kept everyone on the dance floor all night.

All of the vendors at this wedding were a pleasure to work with. Cory Ryan provided the photo booth (a few photos are below!) and Andy with Studio 563 was the photographer. Tricia from Viridian Design Studio made sure that all of the details were taken care of and that everything went as planned.

I received this email from Crissy about the short preview I posted a couple of weeks ago:

“WOW!!! McKenzie, this is just the most exciting thing ever!!! Thank you for getting this together so quickly! I feel like I am back in that actual day!!! The video is so sweet, I am in tears watching it! I cannot wait to see the full version! Thank you so much for sending this over, I apologize for just getting back to you, we’ve been in Canada for our honeymoon with no internet! Again, thank you for everything. You were so wonderful on the wedding day, and you can see your creativity and talent for truly capturing the moment even in this short clip!”

Here is an extended preview with a bit more of the events of Crissy and John’s wedding day.

Crissy & Johnny.

April 20, 2010

I couldn’t resist posting this short preview from Crissy and John’s wedding this past weekend (their full preview will be posted later). If you are in the Austin area, you know we had very heavy rain on Saturday. Well, Crissy and John had their ceremony and reception planned completely outdoors at the Red Corral Ranch. Everything was fine until just before they exchanged their rings when the skies opened up and the rain came pouring down. What started as a beautiful outdoor ceremony, turned into an intimate gathering of close family and friends huddled underneath a giant white tent. Crissy and John were so sweet and they made the best out of a not-so-ideal situation. Although it wasn’t what anyone expected, the rain made for a pretty unforgettable experience. Corin from Clink Events did a fantastic job handling all of the chaos and rearranging quickly to get everyone out of the rain. Joe and Stephanie from Joseph Mark Photography in Dallas were wonderful as well! At one point Joe and I were more or less standing on top of one another while crammed into the tent. But it was all worth it! Crissy and John – I wish you two the very best for a long and happy life together. Your love for one another was so wonderful to see.

Beautiful Wedding Weekend

March 29, 2010

I just got back into Austin from a great weekend in Orlando celebrating with Amanda and Justin and lots of old friends. Amanda incorporated so many beautiful and charming ideas into her wedding. There was even a s’more bar at the reception where the marshmallows were toasted with a blow torch! Rifle Designs in Winter Park, Florida did all of her stationary design. As I mentioned in the last post, Liga Photography took the photos, you can see a small preview here. Amanda and Justin are big animal lovers and each table at dinner was named after one of their animals, complete with a hand drawn illustration of each (Precious was the cat’s name on ours, so cute!). I didn’t shoot much video but I did at least catch their first kiss and a few photos.

Amanda & Justin

March 24, 2010

Its a rare occasion that I actually get to go to a wedding as a guest so I’m extra excited about this weekend! One of my dear friends Amanda is getting married in Orlando on Saturday. We have been friends since we were freshmen in high school and lived together our first year of college. Although I told myself I wasn’t going to bring a camera at all, I don’t think I can resist so make sure to check back for at least a little snippet from this weekend. Abby from Liga Photography in Orlando did their engagement photos. They are beautiful! Here is a small feature, check Liga Photography Blog for the rest if you are interested.

Jennifer & Rudy

March 22, 2010

This was another wedding coordinated by the fabulous Keri Wooten from Leave the Details to Me. Jennifer and Rudy were wonderful! They have a very passionate love for one another. Their wedding took place on an absolutely beautiful March evening at Villa Antonia. It was my first time working with Pam Hults of A La Vie Photography and she was great! I will post a link to their images once I have it. Congratulations Jennifer and Rudy, I wish you all the best!
