Ricardo & Clarisa.
July 29, 2010I had the opportunity and great pleasure to film the wedding of Ricardo and Clarisa at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in New York a few weeks ago. It was wonderful! The Cathedral is the oldest Catholic cathedral in New York City and it was full of ornate design and history. Ricardo and Clarisa had a traditional hour long mass – most of which was in spanish. The vast majority of their guests flew in from Venezuela to celebrate with them. After the ceremony, everyone walked around the corner to the restaurant Elizabeth in Soho for an intimate celebration including dinner, drinks and dancing. Ricardo and Clarisa were so warm and inviting and it was so nice getting to know them. I wish them all the best for a long and happy life together!
Anna & Ryan.
June 29, 2010Anna and Ryan had a super fun wedding in San Marcos earlier this month. Their day started at Central Christian church and then moved over to the Embassy Suites for quite a dance party! Make sure to look out for the bride and groom both doing the worm in the preview.
Cathy & Ryan.
June 15, 2010I absolutely jumped at the chance to film Cathy and Ryan’s wedding in Highlands, North Carolina at the beginning of June. I was so happy to have the opportunity to do so! Cathy and Ryan gathered together with their closest friends and family for a weekend of celebrating in the hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was a beautiful and unforgettable ceremony and reception. After a few hours of rain and clouds, the sun peeked through just in time for their outdoor ceremony at the Inn at Half Mile Farm. The speech by Cathy’s “stepmother” (for lack of a better word) had everyone – including me – in tears.
Cathy and Ryan, congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy life together!
Kind words from a Mother of the Bride.
June 14, 2010It is always encouraging to hear positive feedback from the parents of my clients, especially if videography was something that they didn’t necessarily plan for or want in the beginning. I received an email from a Mother of the Bride earlier this week. Her daughter Margaret married Trey in January of this year. Here is what her email said :
Dear McKenzie,
I first want to thank you for being communicative, responsive and so sweet to the bride and groom and mother of the bride. Secondly, you did an amazing job of capturing the energy and highlights of Margaret’s and Trey’s wedding day which was over in a flash! Margaret’s dad commented several times, “Was I even there?” Luckily we got to relive the moments (as if hearing and seeing it for the first time) of the processional, the vows and music at the ceremony, the toasts, music and dancing at the reception – too much fun! Until watching the video, I didn’t realize that James (the best man) performed with the band in singing a song at the reception. There’s just so much going on! Margaret convinced me that a video was important and that we would be grateful to have one. She is absolutely right!! A wedding is one of the happiest and most blessed days of one’s life where the couple is surrounded by family and friends who love them. We are thrilled to have this love and joy on video!! Thank you, McKenzie!
Fondly, Janet Hulings (Mother of the Bride)
Happy email.
January 12, 2010I just received this email from Melissa (her preview is posted below). I’m just so happy reading it!!
Hey McKenzie,
OMG you had me crying here, it’s BEAUTIFUL! I can’t wait to see the whole thing! Adam had to go overseas for work for 2 weeks, so I’m here missing him and the video just sealed the deal – I’m bawling like a baby, but it’s ok, it means you really captured the moment.
You’re the best!
Melissa
Lauren & Miguel.
December 17, 2009Sorry for my lack of posts! It has been a crazy couple of months. Lauren and Miguel got married in Dallas at the end of November. It was so much fun! They had a great band and everyone was dancing late into the night. I absolutely loved Miguel’s first reaction to seeing Lauren (you can hear a bit of it in the highlight video). I also loved their cake! I don’t think I have ever seen one quite so tall. Congratulations Lauren and Miguel.
Big Sur.
November 23, 2009Whew! What a busy month November has been. With four weddings and a love story so far, I am ready for a much needed Thanksgiving break. I’m heading to Big Sur, California for the weekend for camping with friends. I am SO excited! I’ll definitely post some pictures up once I get back. I did some searching around the web for Big Sur weddings, here is some stuff I found. What a beautifully majestic place.

Happy Thanksgiving! All Images above are from Joshua Caine Photography.
Hello again! and Birdcage veils!
October 1, 2009Sorry for the delay in posting! It has been a very busy few weeks. Make sure to stop by our website and see the updated packages and pricing section. We are now shooting only in HD and we are so excited about it.
Small vintage accents added into modern weddings are such nice details. Birdcage veils add a little vintage without going over the top. Below are a few resources on where to find them as well as a few photographs.
