In[Focus]

January 26, 2010

In[Focus] was awesome! My brain already felt like it was going to explode close to the end of day one. So much information was given. It was such a great opportunity to be able to hear the best in the wedding industry talk about wedding filmmaking and learn from their years of experience. And best of all, the conference was held right here in Austin! I am excited to put the things I learned into use for all we have planned in 2010. The crew from In[Focus] have posted some videos on their blog, I am going to include one here.

Amy & Swang.

January 15, 2010

Amy and Swang were married in the beginning of November and I just realized I never posted their preview! They had a very intimate and beautiful ceremony at Chapel Dulcinea on a Tuesday evening. It was my first time shooting there and it was so nice. Their reception followed at the Mandola Estate Winery in Driftwood. Congratulations Amy and Swang!

Happy weekend!

January 15, 2010

Its a cold and rainy Friday afternoon here in Austin and amidst getting ready for Kelley and Lewis’s wedding tomorrow downtown, I have spent the better part of the morning browsing the web for new images and inspiration.  Here is a bit of what I came across.

On another note! Next Monday-Wednesday I will be attending the IN[FOCUS] Video Event and ohmygoodness I am so excited. Wedding videographers from all over the country and world will be here in our wonderful city to listen to 13 of the most influential wedding and event videographers speak. Amongst the speakers are Joe Simon, Ray Roman and Chris P. Jones from Waco. I know it is going to be an informative and exciting few days! I’ll be sure to post a bit about it next week.

Happy email.

January 12, 2010

I just received this email from Melissa (her preview is posted below). I’m just so happy reading it!!

Hey McKenzie,

OMG you had me crying here, it’s BEAUTIFUL! I can’t wait to see the whole thing! Adam had to go overseas for work for 2 weeks, so I’m here missing him and the video just sealed the deal – I’m bawling like a baby, but it’s ok, it means you really captured the moment.

You’re the best!

Melissa & Adam.

January 10, 2010

Melissa and Adam were married at Angel Springs right before Christmas. They had a late afternoon wedding and the sun was setting just perfectly right after the ceremony! We were able to capture some beautiful video.  Melissa and Adam are such wonderful people and I had so much fun with them. Congratulations!

Happy New Year!

January 6, 2010

So, I am a few days late. But I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas season and a great start to 2010! I took a much needed trip back home to Alabama and I was finally able to get my hands on a real life copy of Southern Weddings Magazine. There are some fabulous weddings and ideas in there. One in particular was by one of my favorite Austin photographers Whitney Lee. Just look at the grooms cake by Sweet Tempered Bakery! I’ve never seen something so unique. I love it. I know I promised pictures from Big Sur way back in November and I finally have them to post. Stay tuned for a few video previews this week and much more to come as we get ready for a busy 2010!
