Ricardo & Clarisa.
July 29, 2010I had the opportunity and great pleasure to film the wedding of Ricardo and Clarisa at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in New York a few weeks ago. It was wonderful! The Cathedral is the oldest Catholic cathedral in New York City and it was full of ornate design and history. Ricardo and Clarisa had a traditional hour long mass – most of which was in spanish. The vast majority of their guests flew in from Venezuela to celebrate with them. After the ceremony, everyone walked around the corner to the restaurant Elizabeth in Soho for an intimate celebration including dinner, drinks and dancing. Ricardo and Clarisa were so warm and inviting and it was so nice getting to know them. I wish them all the best for a long and happy life together!
Kaci & Jason.
July 7, 2010Kaci and Jason reserved their date last year and I hadn’t met them yet so I was really looking forward to their wedding. They were married at the First United Methodist church in Marble Falls and had their reception at the Lakeside Pavilion. It was an absolutely beautiful day. The Original Recipe Band from Austin kept everyone out on the dance floor the entire reception. They were so much fun! Ryan Green Photography was once again a pleasure to work with. Kaci and Jason were radiating happiness and it was such a joy to be around them and get to capture it on film. Best wishes for a long and happy life together!
Anna & Ryan.
June 29, 2010Anna and Ryan had a super fun wedding in San Marcos earlier this month. Their day started at Central Christian church and then moved over to the Embassy Suites for quite a dance party! Make sure to look out for the bride and groom both doing the worm in the preview.
Cathy & Ryan.
June 15, 2010I absolutely jumped at the chance to film Cathy and Ryan’s wedding in Highlands, North Carolina at the beginning of June. I was so happy to have the opportunity to do so! Cathy and Ryan gathered together with their closest friends and family for a weekend of celebrating in the hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was a beautiful and unforgettable ceremony and reception. After a few hours of rain and clouds, the sun peeked through just in time for their outdoor ceremony at the Inn at Half Mile Farm. The speech by Cathy’s “stepmother” (for lack of a better word) had everyone – including me – in tears.
Cathy and Ryan, congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy life together!
Leah & Wendel.
June 15, 2010Leah and Wendel booked me right after the Bridal Extravaganza last June so I have been anticipating their wedding for a long time! They were married at Natures Point on a hot and humid May afternoon in an absolutely beautiful ceremony. Their photographer was Tanya Saenz – it was our first time working together and she was so much fun! Make sure to check out their images on her website. I wish you all the best Leah and Wendel!
[...] Leah and Wendel’s video taken by the most amazing cinematographer, McKenzie Miller. Here is a link to Leah and Wendel’s wedding. Do yourself a favor and check out the rest of McKenzie’s beautiful work!! Hope to work with [...]
Hi McKenzie! We just saw the video and it is so beautiful!! You are so talented!
Kind words from a Mother of the Bride.
June 14, 2010It is always encouraging to hear positive feedback from the parents of my clients, especially if videography was something that they didn’t necessarily plan for or want in the beginning. I received an email from a Mother of the Bride earlier this week. Her daughter Margaret married Trey in January of this year. Here is what her email said :
Dear McKenzie,
I first want to thank you for being communicative, responsive and so sweet to the bride and groom and mother of the bride. Secondly, you did an amazing job of capturing the energy and highlights of Margaret’s and Trey’s wedding day which was over in a flash! Margaret’s dad commented several times, “Was I even there?” Luckily we got to relive the moments (as if hearing and seeing it for the first time) of the processional, the vows and music at the ceremony, the toasts, music and dancing at the reception – too much fun! Until watching the video, I didn’t realize that James (the best man) performed with the band in singing a song at the reception. There’s just so much going on! Margaret convinced me that a video was important and that we would be grateful to have one. She is absolutely right!! A wedding is one of the happiest and most blessed days of one’s life where the couple is surrounded by family and friends who love them. We are thrilled to have this love and joy on video!! Thank you, McKenzie!
Fondly, Janet Hulings (Mother of the Bride)
Britney & Randy.
June 11, 2010Britney and Randy were married at the Austin Country Club on May 30th, 2010. It was my first wedding at ACC and the weather and location were absolutely perfect. The reception was a blast! The Argyles kept everyone out on the dance floor all night. Here is a small preview from their day.
I’m Back!
June 8, 2010Thanks to my webmaster friend Jonathan, my blog is back in working order after being down for a few weeks! I’ve shot 3 weddings in the last week so I have a lot to get caught up on posting. I just returned from filming a beautiful wedding in the Highlands, North Carolina so check back next week for the preview from that. For now, I have a few of our still video shots from Leah and Wendel’s wedding last week at Nature’s Point just outside of Austin. I should have their preview up later tonight or tomorrow.
Aaron & Melyn.
May 13, 2010Aaron and Melyn had wonderfully sweet ranch wedding at the beginning of May. Every aspect of their wedding was perfect and planned to the very last detail. Their ceremony was in an absolutely beautiful Catholic Church in Fredricksburg and Melyn’s family owns a ranch just past Kerrville so that is where they had the reception. Friends and family were gathered under a giant tent strung with white lights, drinking out of mason jars and enjoying Salt Lick BBQ. It was great! Instead of traditional wedding cake, they had a Funnel Cake station and cobbler with ice cream. How cute is that? The Paul Eason band from Austin played country music that kept everyone on the dance floor all night.
All of the vendors at this wedding were a pleasure to work with. Cory Ryan provided the photo booth (a few photos are below!) and Andy with Studio 563 was the photographer. Tricia from Viridian Design Studio made sure that all of the details were taken care of and that everything went as planned.
